Accreditation of Experiential Learning

Presenting your portfolio

Your final AEL claim should contain the following items:

  1. An Application Form (see below)
  2. A Position Statement
  3. A Module Claim Form (for each module you are claiming for)
  4. An Index of Evidence
  5. Copies of your evidence (arranged in the order in which you have indexed them)

Only include evidence that you have indexed and cited in your Module Claim Form(s) – don’t include anything extra. The AEL assessor will want to see how your evidence shows that you have met the learning outcomes of the modules. You will make their job harder if you supply lots of evidence that has not been mapped to the module learning outcomes.

Once you have assembled your claim, check it with your AEL coordinator. When you are both happy with it, you can choose to submit the portfolio in two ways:

  1. By hard copy to your AEL coordinator
  2. By uploading your files

By hard copy to your AEL coordinator

Please complete the application form below. All claims forms should be well organised and presented, preferably in a file or folder.

By uploading your files

Please complete the electronic application form, including electronic copies of all your evidence.
