Brief biography

Composer and improviser (keyboard and voice). She completed her PhD in Composition at City University. Her music has been performed and broadcast in the UK, Europe, USA and Japan. She has received awards in several competitions including the Continuum Ensemble Improvisation Competition and the DNA Fanfare Competition, and she was a finalist in the British Composer Awards 2006. She currently performs with The Artaud Beats (Geoff Leigh, Chris Cutler, John Greaves), Yosshy YUMI-Yama (Tatsuya Yoshida, Hoppy Kamiyama), Mammal Machine (Rie Miyazaki, Mitsuru Tabata, Yasuyuki Watanabe) and duo with Guy Harries.
