Liz Pearson joined UEL as Associate Dean (External Development) in September 2011.  Previously, Liz was Director of The Creative Way, a large London and Thames Gateway based FE/HE partnership. Prior to that, she held academic and external development roles at Ravensbourne and Coventry University.

Liz trained originally as a social scientist, with specific interests in the field of gender and employment.  Her current interests are in the area of creative education and skills development and the creative economy.

Liz has extensive experience in generating funding to support academic developments.  She has represented the HE sector on multi-sector funding bodies and served as evaluator and panel member on a broad range of EU and UK funding programmes.
