Brief biography
I work within the Fashion Department in a technical role helping students develop their design ideas into 3D realisations. I have nearly two decades of experience in pattern-cutting and making within the New Zealand and UK Fashion, Film and TV Industries and still continue to freelance as a stylist and costume maker on TV commercials. I am currently studying for a MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2009.
Areas of Interest/Summary of Expertise
I am interested in the psychology of the learning and teaching experience from both the student and teacher perspective.
Current research and publications
I am currently researching how UEL Fashion students develop as Self-regulated Learners.
