Brief biography

In the last ten years i have been a Demonstrator in Fine Art resposible for teaching technical skills and methods of production for Fine Art Practice. Since 2007 i have been working as a part-time Lecturer, teaching Illustration and Exhibition Design to Graphics and photography students for D.A.V.C.

Areas of Interest/Summary of Expertise

My two main areas of interest are: Contemporary initatives in drawing and curatorial practice.With a specific interest in developing new spaces or platforms for artworks to exist in.

I am the Director of a Muslim Charity The School of Sufi Teaching with a particular remit in promoting cross-cultural education and dinamic spiirituality.

  • 2010. Middlesborough . Presented five paintings entitled Munich12:45.
  • 2010.  RISEOMAMATIC. Unit twelve, Concord way, London. Installation of large three dimensional drawing.

CURATION

  • 2011. Curated and initiated group exhibition of four Prof Doc students, entitled             UNRELIABLE NURATOR. Vyner street Gallery, London. 
  • 2010.  One of the Co-coordinators with Prof Doc Program of End of Year Open    Seminar with invited critics, writers ,artists and gallerists. AVA Studios, UEL.

PUBLICATION

  • 2010   Invited to participate in round table discussion on the theme of artists who have worked for other well known artists. OFF THE CLOCK. Resonance F.M. London.
  • 2012. Invited to participate in a video interview about creative practice. Presented at Muslim Council of Britain annul Leadership dinner, Millennium Hotel London.

ARCHITECTURE

  • 2010.   Building  Riad in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.-(Second stage of build).

SUFISM

  • Director of a Muslim charity –School of Sufi Teaching. Co-ordinate and teach weekly meetings and lead retreats throughout the year.
  • 2011 Completed writing preliminary teachings for new students for School of Sufi Teaching.
