PhD research into temporal landscape notation titled 'In an Open Field' at University College London. Recent publications include contributing chapter to 'The Design of Place' for Shokokusha in Japan, and articles for Landscape Design magazine.

Author of Responding to Chaos book for Spon Press, introduction and translation for GG Press Monogrpah on Shigeru Ban, introduction to Asian Architecture Now, and over 3o articles for a wide range of design publications in the UK and Asia.
