Short Courses

The School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering is able to offer UEL students and the general public professional courses at affordable prices at a time to suit them. All professional courses are delivered by staff who are vendor certified in the qualification they are delivering. Our courses are administered by UEL Connect and delivered by CITE staff.

Cisco Local Academy

ACE is a Cisco Local Networking Academy.

We offer the CCNA curriculum over 4 semesters referred to as CCNA1, CCNA2, CCNA3 and CCNA4. CCNA Courses 1 through 4 of the Academy program provides students with a basic foundation in networking. Students who successfully complete this portion of the program are eligible to earn Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA™) certification.

Sun Academic Initiative  

ACE is a member of the Sun Academic Initiative

As a member of the Sun academic Initiative we can deliver training on Sun technologies to our students, faculty, and staff. The Sun Academic Initiative offers us access to free Web-based training and curricula, including courses in the latest Java and Solaris technologies.

ACE is a member of the Education to Careers (E2C) CompTIA’s Academy Programme

CompTIA certifications are fully embedded within the National Qualifications Framework, SQA &
FETAC and can be offered via the awarding bodies including – OCR, City & Guilds & Edexcel. As a programme member we get reduced exams for students taking CompTIA qualifications. Students benefit from sponsorship of awards/recognition programmes. CompTIA qualifications such as Linux+, A+, Security+ are widely recognised in industry and by employers.
