High Performance

A High Performance Environment

UEL is a large, modern university with campuses and sports facilities to match. Our commitment to sport is reflected in our aim to become the number one university for sport in London by 2015 and we are well on our way to achieving that goal. This is indicated by our massive jump of 42 places in the British University  and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league table and winning the ‘Most Improved University’ accolade at the BUCS 2010–2011 Awards ceremony.

Also UEL is now a world-class option for local, national and international organisations, demonstrated by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) choosing us as their official training headquarters for the London 2012 Games.

Our High Performance Training Centre, SportsDock  is one of London's largest indoor sports venues. Located in the heart of east London, this spectacular £21 million sports centre provides world-class training and competition facilities. SportsDock includes a futuristic fitness centre, amazing strength and conditioning room and two top - spec outdoor 3G Five- a-side football pitches. SportsDock also has two amazing indoor arenas and a dance and aerobics studio to cater for everything from Archery to Zumba.

On top of our superb facilities, we also provide you with a full support package that includes accommodation , catering , transport and sports science support. We have expertise in a range of areas including physiotherapy , strength and conditioning , lifestyle counselling , podiatry , biomechanics, nutrition , physiology and psychology.
